Why We’re Taking Pledges Here
We originally planned to run our campaign through Indiegogo, but many of our supporters told us they’d rather see their full contribution go directly to us—not to a platform. So, we set up a way for you to pledge right here on our own website (actually, the pledges are done on Lizzy B’s (Gallery 39 is part of Lizzy B’s) website because that’s where the online store is set up.

Crowdfunding is a way for a community to help bring a project or dream to life by contributing small amounts that add up to something big. Unlike a regular donation, crowdfunding pledges usually come with small thank-you gifts or “rewards” to show our appreciation for helping make it happen. Those are listed below:

Donate
If you want to help without getting one of the rewards, we do take donations of food, litter, and money (we can’t issue tax receipts). When we receive food and litter donations it means the rescue doesn’t have to provide them. Any money donated goes toward the cats in the way of upgrades to their space, toys, cleaning supplies, food, and litter. We are also desperately in need of building supplies (see below).

Amazon Wishlist
Here is a link to our Amazon wishlist.
If you prefer to buy things locally (which is always awesome), some of the things we need are:

- Wet cat food – any kind, the higher end stuff is great but Friskies is wonderful too
- Dry cat food – they’ve been eating Hill’s Science Diet or Performatrin Ultra, but we’ll take anything
- Litter – we only use the wood pellets. The best price for these is the Spruce Point Premium Wood Pellets. You can find them in the BBQ aisle at Canadian Tire (end of aisle 55 at Southdale). Yes, they are sold for BBQ fuel, but they are also sold for farm animal bedding (they are just wood and have no additives) and work great for cat litter.
- Cat toys – any kind

- Cleaning supplies – garbage bags, paper towel, Prevail brand veterinary cleaning concentrate (in Winnipeg a farm supply place would have it. I found it on www.stevens.ca. (This is something we are in urgent need of, and the Prevail ready to use spray and the wipes are great too)
- Wide stainless steel cat dishes (wide is better for their whiskers)
- Small cat beds – we need 8 of them to fit in our 2 x 2 foot cat cubbies, and more of any size for around their space.
- Towels
There are also a few more expensive things we are saving up for (you can see them on the amazon wishlist):
- Cat pheromone diffuser
- Steam cleaner
- Air purifier
- Humidifier (4L or bigger. We need it for the winter as we keep giving the cats shocks because it’s so dry in here)
Building materials:
If you have any leftover building materials that you could donate, even a couple of two by fours or a piece or two of Dricore, our wishlist is as follows. Edit: The crossed out items were donated by McMunn & Yates:
| Item | Size | Quantity |
| 2 x 4 | 8 foot | |
| Doors (french or windowed preferred) | One 30″ wide, the other any size |
Plus:
• 1 utility sink with taps (we got the sink, we still need a faucet)
• Concrete paint
• Vinyl flooring for a room that is around 11 x 11’
• Dricore subfloor for under the vinyl
• floor levelling compound
• A kitchen faucet with pull out sprayer for cleaning their food dishes and toys
• Items to put things together such as nails, screws, and joint compound
• Anything that would be useful in building kennels for new cats who aren’t quite ready to mix
with the current gang of cats and need their own space for a while, or actual large dog kennels or the type of kennels they have a vets or rescues.
• a 4 x 8′ sheet of foam (or two 2 x 8 foot sheets) at least 5″ thick – to cover the bench with
• a 5 x 9′ piece of upholstery vinyl in royal blue or navy blue (it sort of has a leather look, Fabricland sells it, or it’s on our Amazon wishlist) to cover the bench
